The Griffith Tertiary Preparation (GTP) program provides a pathway for applicants who would like to undertake undergraduate studies at Griffith University but lack the formal admission requirements. It consists of two courses which provide foundational knowledge and the academic skills, knowledge and confidence required to complete an undergraduate degree at Griffith University.
The GTP program is offered full-time and can be studied at our Gold Coast, Nathan and Logan campus or online. It runs two times per year for students to seek admission to Griffith undergraduate degrees in the next available trimester.
It is important to note that completion of the GTP program will not guarantee entry to all undergraduate degrees as some may require you to meet specific admission requirements. Your Grade Point Average (GPA) will determine your eligibility for admission to undergraduate degrees that have an admission requirement of English (4SA). Completion of 9004HLS Introduction to Applied Mathematics and Computer Skills as your elective course will provide eligibility for admission to undergraduate degrees that require assumed knowledge or prerequisite in Maths A. Applicants seeking admission to a degree that requires assumed knowledge or prerequisites in Maths B or Science are encouraged to undertake Maths B or Science bridging courses.
Note: The GTP program is not recommended as an alternative to completing high school. Students currently completing Years 11 and 12 are advised to complete their secondary studies.
The GTP program will be offered online and in-person at the Gold Coast, Logan and Nathan campuses. Students will be required to complete two courses which involve lectures, workshops and laboratories comprising six hours per course per week held over three days.
The tuition fees for this program will be fully subsidised by Griffith University.
