To be eligible for the award of Master of Business (MBus), a student must successfully complete 160 credit points including:

  • 40 credit points for one major or 40 credit points from across the majors;
  • 40 credit points for a second major, electives or the dissertation pathway.

To be eligible for the award of Master of Business (MBus), a student admitted with 40 credit points of advanced standing must successfully complete 120 credit points including:

  • 40 credit points for one major or 40 credit points from across the majors;
  • 40 credit points for a second major, electives or the dissertation pathway.

To be eligible for the award of Master of Business (MBus), a student admitted with 80 credit points of advanced standing must successfully complete 80 credit points including:

  • 40 credit points for one major or 40 credit points from across the majors.

This degree/s may be awarded with Distinction where a student achieves a minimum program GPA of 6.5 with no failed courses. The words 'This award was achieved with Distinction' will be recorded on the testamur and will appear below the conferral date of the award.

Dissertation pathway

To be eligible to undertake the Dissertation pathway, a student must have met the following criteria:

  • attained a minimum GPA of 5.5 across the core and major courses and
  • lodged a completed Nomination of Dissertation Topic and Supervisor for Coursework Masters Dissertation form (obtained from a Griffith Student Centre) and
  • the suitability of the proposed dissertation topic and the resources available to support the candidature including availability of appropriate supervision.
