The Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management is designed for people who generally have limited prior knowledge or experience of HRM but who are seeking to move into the industry as human resource management professionals. It is comprised of a concise set of advanced courses in the functional areas of HRM, providing an excellent foundation for advancing your knowledge in human resource management, as well as a pathway into the masters program.
Upon successful completion of this degree students may articulate into the Master of Employment Relations (offered through OUA) to enhance the ER component of their qualification or the Master of Human Resource Management (offered at Nathan or Gold Coast campuses) to undertake a range of advanced level course offerings in HRM that are focussed on professional and strategic skill development.

The Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management is offered full-time in Trimester 1 and part-time in Trimester 2 at the Nathan and Gold Coast campuses. You may choose to study courses at other campuses if or where the program structure allows. Students are advised that some courses are also offered through Open Universities Australia (OUA). Students who wish to enrol in these courses should refer to the Open Universities Australia (OUA) site for additional information.
Students may take a reduced study load. You will be classed as a part-time student if you enrol in less than 30 credit points per trimester.
From 2017, to be classed as a full-time student, you are required to enrol in a minimum number of credit points each standard study period. The minimum credit points for full-time enrolment in this program is 30 credit points.
Trimester 1 and Trimester 2 are deemed standard study periods. As Trimester 3 is a non-standard study period, continuing students moving from one year to the next will not be required to study during this trimester to be eligible for student income support.
Domestic students who commence in Trimester 3 may be eligible for student income support from the onset of study provided they are enrolled full-time in this study period.

You will be prepared for generalist or specialist roles, such as human resources manager, recruitment consultant, or training and development officer.
The on-campus Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management (3188) / Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management (3189) and the Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management (3274) offered via Open Universities Australia (OUA) articulate with the Master of Human Resource Management (5618) / Master of Human Resource Management (5615).
Students who have completed the Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management will receive 40 credit points of advanced standing towards the Master of Human Resource Management.
The indicative annual tuition fee is calculated based on a standard full-time study load which is usually 80 credit points (two full-time trimesters).
