This program is designed to provide students with an opportunity to undertake advanced study and supervised research work in paramedic pre-hospital care.
The research skills developed within the program will provide an attractive credential for students seeking employment in the public or private sectors. The program will also provide the necessary preparation for entry into a higher degree research program. The multidisciplinary context of the program, involving team-teaching of students and the sharing of coursework and seminar experiences across disciplines will be invaluable to students given the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to researchers and practitioners seeking to understand complex problems in health.
This program is offered on-campus full-time or part-time and students may commence the program in either February or July.
Students who wish to complete the program part-time will be required to consult with the Program Director to determine the appropriate program structure.
Graduates of the program will be able to plan and conduct research in pre-hospital care and related disciplines, and therefore will be well-placed for positions in the private, not for profit, and public sectors. In addition, graduates will be eligible to apply for admission to higher degree research programs, thereby preparing them for high level research careers.
