To be eligible for the Bachelor of Science (Honours) [BSc(Hons)], a student must acquire 80 credit points as prescribed below:
Note: A student's choice of Honours dissertation will be determined by the field of science into which the project is deemed to fall by the Honours Convenor.
Courses (or components of courses) incorporating field studies or other mandatory components need to be satisfactorily completed to satisfy degree requirements even though overall performance would otherwise qualify the student to graduate.

The class of Honours to be awarded to each student in this degree will be determined by the relevant Assessment Board on the basis of a Program GPA and a minimum percentage for the Dissertation as outlined in the Calculation of Honours Classification section of the Bachelor Honours Degree (AQF Level 8) Policy.
The Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) is the national policy for regulated qualifications in Australian education and training. This qualification is accredited as an AQF Level 8 - Bachelor Honours Degree.

If the student fails a course in one trimester which is a pre-requisite for a course in which the student has enrolled in a future trimester, it is the student's responsibility to amend the study program for the later trimester.
