For the award of Bachelor of Laws (Honours)/Bachelor of International Business [LLB (Hons)/BIntBus], you must successfully complete 440 credit points, made up of the core courses AND

  • 100 credit points of listed Law electives;
  • 30 credit points of listed International Business electives;

Other program requirements

You must successfully complete:

  • no more than 120 credit points of Level 1 courses (the first digit of a course code denotes the level);
  • at least 60 credit points of Level 3 courses or higher.

Bachelor of International Business

This degree may be awarded with Distinction where a student achieves a minimum program GPA of 6.5 with no failed courses. The words 'This award was achieved with Distinction' will be recorded on the testamur.

Honours

Bachelor of Laws (Honours)

Classification of Honours

This degree with Honours may be awarded in the following classes:

  • Class I Honours
  • Class IIA Honours
  • Class IIB Honours
  • Class III Honours

The class of Honours to be awarded to each student in this degree will be determined on the basis of the Program GPA achieved by the student in the nominated LAW courses as outlined in the Calculation of Honours Classification section of the Bachelor Honours Degree (AQF Level 8) Policy.

The nominated courses are as follows:

  • 180CP of LAW core courses
  • 100CP of LAW elective courses

Students achieving a Program GPA of less than 4 will receive a Bachelor of Laws.

The Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) is the national policy for regulated qualifications in Australian education and training. The Bachelor of International Business is accredited as an AQF Level 7 - Bachelor Degree.The Bachelor of Laws (Honours) is accredited as an AQF Level 8 - Bachelor Honours Degree.
