This course is focussed on the structure, function and development of the human body at all levels and the changes that occur as a result of disease, injury and abnormal development. Students also examine the importance of psychological, family and cultural factors in health and illness from an individual, community and population perspective. Clinical skills are developed through participation in the programmed skills centre, general practice and hospital-based sessions. These cover communication and examination skills, introductory clinical procedures and history taking in medical practice. STUDENTS ARE TO REFER TO TIMETABLING ON L@G.
