Information and Security Management (7623ICT)

This course is offered in mixed mode. As an Information Technology Professional, you will need to know how to employ the latest technologies and strategies for information and content management in classifying, storing, managing, and retrieving operational data. Businesses and governments are struggling with the massive amounts of data/content being generated via their information systems. Furthermore, kilometres of historical physical records are now being digitised and stored in content management systems, in an effort to create a paper-less office. In this course, you will learn how to employ information architecture and content management principles to help present large volumes of information online, in a manner that is easy to find, purposeful, and appealing to end users (particularly in a business context).
