Junior Secondary Visual Arts and Media Curriculum (7607EDN)

This course focuses on Visual Arts and Media Arts curriculum and pedagogy within junior secondary school. In this course, students refine and utilise their visual and media arts content knowledge in order to develop a pedagogical approach that will support future student learning through the visual arts and media arts. Students will be engaged in practical studio and computer lab workshops to develop knowledge, skills and understanding of curriculum design, planning and resourcing for the junior secondary school context. Students will develop an understanding of the synergies between visual art and media, and apply this understanding to the development of innovative resources and pedagogical strategies for effective creative, practical and critical learning in visual and media arts.
