Research Methods (7563LHS)

This course will develop skills and knowledge concerning research principles and methods applicable to the diverse range of approaches used in the humanities and social sciences. The course focuses on qualitative and quantitative research methods including textual analysis, interviews, focus groups, and surveys. It will familiarise students with particular theories and approaches within specific methodologies. The course will assist students to investigate, analyse and synthesise information about quantitative, qualitative and mixed method approaches to humanities and social science research. Students will develop skills in the application of these approaches in order to apply them in the planning and execution of a dissertation
