Volunteers are important to the sport and events industry. Not only do they provide labour to sport and events from local to international levels, volunteering provides opportunities for community engagement and the development of social capital. This course seeks to understand volunteer participation and involvement in sport and events from individual, organisational, management and policy perspectives.
