This course will focus on understanding of evidence based practice (EBP) in different disciplines and processes to enable students to critically appraise research evidence and to determine which practice to choose and implement with persons with ASD in the appropriate environment. Students will gain an understanding of the different levels of evidence supporting the various types of practices used with persons with ASD. Students will learn how to integrate the best available research evidence with other key components that need to be considered when prioritising practice. They will also learn how to implement an EBP for persons with ASD and monitor its effectiveness through data collection and analysis. Students will be enrolled in the Masters of Autism Studies and will have completed 7180EDN.
Education and Nursing Courses will be charged at the Student Contribution band 1 rate. Transitional arrangements apply.
