Music: Sound and Idea (7169QCM)

This is an advanced level music literature course consisting of a number of modules, each addressing a particular historical or issue-based topic in the study of music and its repertoires. Each module is introduced by an exegesis which describes the purpose of the module and directs the student to the specific questions and issues which are to be given attention. Each module will then require the student to undertake prescribed readings and to study a number of examples of repertoire related to the topic. Recordings are available as streamed content and readings are provided digitally. An online quiz accompanies each module. This course is delivered online with on campus assessment. Course restricted to students enrolled in postgraduate programs at QCGU. Incompatible: 2169QCM
