Managerial Problem Solving (7106IBA)

This course defines the principals and concepts involved in management problems. The course takes students through the underpinning theory of managerial problem solving, while maintaining a practical focus on the ways in which people use and structure difficult problems. The assessment will ask people to structure a complex issue in teams so they can apply the theory they have learned so far. Students will be exposed to the nature of problems of various difficulties and be asked to apply problem structuring methods and collaborative tools to present solutions to this issue. It is expected that this approach will help those in management to come to grips with the social, political and managerial reality of problems. It will also provide them with the core skills needed to be adept at management problem solving. This course is normally offered at Southbank in Intensive mode (Day), and online. Incompatible: 7712IBA, 7712GBS Managerial Problem Solving
