People Management (7007EHR)

This course concentrates on how people are managed and how best to leverage the great resource they provide while also behaving responsibly and ethically. The social and ethical considerations and dilemmas integral to effectively managing people are examined, including within the areas of: recruitment and selection, the management of performance, workforce diversity and work-life balance. Other areas explored include how to develop and implement effective and efficient people management practices that support the strategic objectives of organisations, such as the training and development of people. In this context, the sustainable organisation is one which can attract, hire and retain the best employees.
