Marketing for Social Change (7004MKT)

This course examines how marketing concepts, frameworks and techniques developed for commercial marketers are adapted to influence behaviour at a societal level. It provides the fundamental principles of social marketing, overviews key theories/models of behaviour change, and examines the role of planning and research in developing social marketing strategies to achieve positive social change. The course emphasises the importance of systematic scoping to ensure that the social issue and a range of interventional options are properly considered prior to the development of social marketing change strategies.
