Honours Dissertation (6961ENV_P6)

The dissertation should have a clear relationship to a candidate's nominated area of interest for the honours course and should consist of a single, central concern or a set of smaller objectives focused around a single goal. The work is carried out under the supervision of one or more staff members and could be concerned with such matters as a critical literature review, a field investigation, or laboratory work. Intending honours candidates should discuss possible dissertation topics with appropriate staff members, and nominate supervisors in their applications for admission. Assessment is by oral presentation in approximately week 16 of the semester of submission, and examination of the dissertation by at least two independent examiners. The dissertation is comprised of six separate 10CP course codes: 6961ENV_P1, 6961ENV_P2, 6961ENV_P3, 6961ENV_P4, 6961ENV_P5, 6961ENV_P6. The codes apply in both semesters. For example, a student undertaking 30CP of dissertation work in each semester would enrol in 6961ENV_P1, 6961ENV_P2, and 6961ENV_P3 in the first semester, and 6961ENV_P4, 6961ENV_P5, and 6961ENV_P6 in the following semester. Incompatible: 6901ENV_P6 Honours Dissertation; 6901AES_P6 Honours Dissertation
