Advanced Studies in Engineering (6525ENG)

This course introduces micro/nanomachining technology and microelectromechanical systems. They are the fundamental technologies used in the fabrication of most modern miniaturised systems, which are extensively adapted in our daily life. Theoretical principles are discussed and emphasised via real-world examples. Research-based learning methodology is incorporated to help students understand the lecture topics and gain confidence for their future careers in mechanical/mechatronic engineering.
