Fluids and CFD (6508ENG)

This course introduces advanced topics in fluid dynamics and provides hands-on experience of software packages typical of those used widely in the engineering industry for the prediction of fluid flows. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is a tool used to drive product innovation and industrial process development. It can be used for conceptual design, to measure performance and to troubleshoot design problems. The course will also provide an insight into the underpinning theory, thus giving an appreciation of the capabilities and limitations of the computational methods.
