Communication Systems (6315ENG)

This course covers fundamental and advanced topics in communications systems which are essential for Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineers, and Electronic and Biomedical Engineering. Knowledge on signals and systems, and Fourier transform is prerequisite for this course. Topics to be covered: (i) modulation AM, FM, (ii) digital modulation, digital transmission, (iii) introduction to mobile communications system and smart antennas, (iv) Wireless LANs, MIMO-OFDM for wireless, (v) Cellular Radio Communications, (vi) Microwave Engineering and communications, and (vii) introduction to Satellite Communications..
