Electric Power Systems and Control (6313ENG)

Power distribution requires an over-arching knowledge of system design plus an understanding of transformers, protection, earthing, fault detection, harmonics, relaying and other switching concepts. A power engineer also needs to be able to quantify losses in a distribution system stemming from a number of different sources. This course also covers computerised control of distribution systems and grid stability
