Research Design (6110LHS)

This course prepares students for undertaking research and understanding, through practice, the fundamentals of developing sound research projects, processes and methodologies. The course addresses these fundamentals of research design beginning with deciding on a topic, writing research questions and the use of theory in research. Students will be introduced to all stages of the research process in order to develop a detailed proposal for their project. Issues such as writing a literature review, developing a case for the significance of the research, selecting appropriate research methods and providing a rationale for the methodology will all be covered.
