Transportation Engineering (6106ENG)

This course will combine an extension of the study of geomechanics to pavement engineering techniques with the principles of traffic flow theory and pavement engineering techniques so that students can apply them to practice. The course covers traffic flow models, headway models, traffic fundamental diagrams, intersection design and assessment, pavement engineering and design, pavement condition survey and pavement management. This course will be assessed by individual based assignment, mid semester exam, and final exam.
