Innocence Project (5166LAW)

Griffith University Innocence Project is committed to freeing innocent persons who have been wrongly convicted. Students, acting under the supervision of the Director and Convenor of the Project, and on instructions from the associated lawyers, will review cases where a person is claiming to be innocent but convicted. Students may also undertake research activities associated with the case review. All professional case-management decisions are the responsibility of the lawyers involved. NOTE: Information on application process is available at the LLB and JD Organisation sites on Learning@Griffith. Preference will be given to Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Laws students who have completed: 7719LAW Crime 1 OR 2019LAW Crime 1 OR 4032LAW The Principles of Criminal Law; 7720LAW Crime 2 OR 2020LAW Crime 2 OR 4031LAW Criminal Procedure and Sentencing; and who have completed or are currently undertaking, 7794LAW Evidence OR 5194LAW Evidence OR 4022LAW Evidence.
