Advanced Family Law Clinic (5061LAW)

Advanced Family Law Clinic involves a major clinical component which is supplemented by attendance at seminars in which skills and particular areas of client work are considered. The clinical component of the course involves students taking responsibility for assisting people in relation to family law issues at Caxton Legal Centre. Their work is fully supervised by experienced solicitors and academics. The classroom component of the course involves intensive teaching in respect of the issues which arise at the clinic followed by student-led seminars throughout the Trimester dealing with legal skills and important issues in family law practice. NOTE: Enrolment in this course is by successful selection in the ballot process. Information on application process is available at the LLB and JD Organisation sites on Learning@Griffith.There are limited places available in this course. Students must be in their final or penultimate year of their degree program to undertake this course.
