Competition and Consumer Law (5021LAW)

The course will provide students with a basic understanding of the main pieces of legislation dealing with competition and consumer law with an emphasis on the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth). Although the emphasis in the course will be on the practical application of the law, an understanding of theories relevant to particularly competition law will be referred to throughout the course. Incompatible: LL35021 Competition and Consumer Law. This course is offered as a free choice elective for students enrolled in the Bachelor of Business OR Bachelor of Commerce degree programs. The prerequisite for Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of Commerce students is 2105AFE Introduction to Business Law OR 2106AFE Company Law OR 2007PPP Legal Issues for Managers.
