Public Involvement and Community Development (4047ENV)

This course focuses on the design and evaluation of participatory processes in urban and environmental planning. You will research and apply different methods and approaches for involving people in planning and learn the importance of contextually appropriate engagement. You will also conduct an independent evaluation of a real life public event using desktop and field based research. You will deliver a comphrensive professional-quality evaluation report which critically evaluates, develops robust conclusions, and provides clear recommendations for best practice public participation in planning .
