Industry Affiliates Program Professional Practice (4006ENG)

This course incorporates the principles of work integrated learning through an industry related project undertaken either with an industry partner or at the university. The course allows students to develop skills in both the academic and professional aspects of modern engineering applications and practice within an industry context. It incorporates an engineering project, which is designed to demonstrate the application of engineering theory and practice. Students undertake the course either with an industry partner within the industry environment or as an independent study on campus. Academic support is provided within the university to assist the student to demonstrate the way in which theory applies to engineering practice in relation to the project. Assessment is based on the demonstration of both the academic and professional contexts in which modern engineering practice operates. This course is planned to be offered for the last time in 2015.
