Documentary Infield Project (3838QCA)

This course is a core component within the Bachelor of Photography for those students majoring in Photojournalism and Documentary Practice. It is also offered as an elective study to students across the university. Specifically this course blends the theory and practice that underpins contemporary work within the disciplines of photojournalism and/or documentary practice. This course requires the students to work collaboratively as in-field researchers and interrogate and document the social fabric of a town or region outside their normal locations. This course is offered in intensive mode only requiring the student to move and live in the chosen area for a period of not less than one week. Students will negotiate access to those stories that give the particular town its defining qualities.
