Work Integrated Learning - Placement (3822ICT)

In this course, students conduct an industry-based placement within a commercial or industrial environment under professional supervision while managing their learning and course assessment. The placement provides students with the opportunity to undertake a substantial body of work that has an industry application. This body of work will be focused on the student's academic degree and major, and may be project based working on a single implementation, or task based supporting the industry partner. Students work in close liaison with their industry supervisor and academic supervisor throughout the placement and are expected to demonstrate a good understanding of their work. To be eligible for placement, students must have completed the online registration form in the trimester prior to enrolment: https://www.griffith.edu.au/industry-affiliates-program/students/student-registration. Students must complete all requirements of the Griffith Sciences WIL office in preparation for placement, including confirmed allocation to an industry placement. Prerequisites: Students should be in the final year of study, having completed 80CP of first year level subjects and 80CP of second year level subjects which define the program and have a cumulative GPA of 5.0.
