Work Integrated Learning - Single Project (3821ICT)

This course is conducted with students participating in a project-based engagement with industry: projects are sought from a range of industry and university partners (project sponsors) that require significant development, communication and documentation effort. The problem is addressed by a number of students working in a group to form a student project team. Significant importance is placed on effective project management and excellent communication strategies between team members, the project manager, and with the industry client. Within this strand, students may undertake different "tracks" depending on the development lifecycle model appropriate to the project. Students work in close liaison with their external client and academic supervisor throughout the project and are expected to demonstrate a good understanding of their project. Students should be in the final year of study, having completed of 80CP of first year level subjects and 80CP of second year level subjects which define the program. Pre-requisite: Must have completed 160CP
