Big Data Analysis (3803ICT)

This course will cover basic concepts in Data Analysis including cleaning and manipulating data into suitable forms (discrete, continuous, categorical, etc.) for visualizing and understanding relationships in data. Descriptive statistics and hypothesis testing, statistical inference, decision making theory and application of unsupervised machine learning for exploratory (scalable clustering algorithms) and confirmatory analysis (factor analysis up to nonnegative matrix factorization) Pre-Requisite: 1808ICT/2804ICT Discrete Structures and 2802ICT Intelligent Systems Prior to August 2018 this course was named "Data Analytics"
