Social and Professional Issues (3410ICT)

This course explores the major ethical, professional, social and legal issues arising from the widespread use of IT, highlighting dilemmas that may be faced by IT practitioners. The subject examines the key debates and controversies pertinent to IT and their social consequences through the use of key case studies. *This course replaces 2003ICT Professional Issues in IT. Prerequisite: Successful completion of 120CP of first or second year Information Technology /Multimedia courses
