Collectors and Gatherers 2 (3356QCA)

The central purpose of this course is to extend the cultural experiences of students as well as expanding their art practice through the opportunity of collecting and collating research information from cultures other than their own. The course involves a field trip to either an Australian or overseas destination (usually no less than 3 weeks). Students will be encouraged to contrast and compare important cultural, social and political issues between the locations visited and their own. This information will be utilized in artwork finished on their return to QCA and will contribute to a professional folio submission at the conclusion of the semester. RESTRICTION: This is a Consent course. You will be unable to enrol online until you have been allocated a place by the Course Convenor.
