Power Transmission and Distribution (3319ENG)

This course will introduce the principle of power transmission and distribution, and cover topics related to the transmission and distribution network, network structure, substations, protection of transmission and distribution network, and power transformers. It also introduces various high voltage equipment used in substations, some latest technology in High Voltage DC transmission, and future distributed power systems, such as smart grid technology and renewable energy systems.
