Practical Electronics I (3312ENG)

Practical Electronics I is a practical project based course in which students are challenged to apply fundamental knowledge of analogue and digital components, circuitry and systems to design, implement and demonstrate a functional electronic device meeting prescribed system requirements. Students are guided through a systematic design process involving analysis of requirements, circuit design and simulation, component selection, prototype construction, testing, evaluation and revision. An integral part of the process is the production and maintenance of engineering documentation in the form of technical specifications, schematic diagrams, list of components, test procedures and performance results.
