Digital Signal Processing (3303ENG)

This course extends the theoretical and practical content of the course 2305ENG Signals and Systems and covers fundamental topics in digital signal processing (DSP) such as A/D and D/A converters, analysis of discrete-time signals and systems, design of finite impulse response (FIR) and infinite impulse response (IIR) digital filters, multirate digital signal processing, etc. MATLAB (software) and digital signal processor boards (hardware) are used to provide hands-on experience to students. This course is planned to be offered for the last time in 2016 at the Gold Coast campus. The Nathan campus offering will continue as normal beyond 2016.
