Contemporary Chinese Society and Culture (3280LHS)

This course aims to encourage students to engage with key issues informing contemporary Chinese social and cultural debates in and on China. The course covers a wide range of topics including: education, internet culture; the urban and rural divide; social justice and protest; contemporary Confucianism and nationalism; the arts; and the Chinese family.
