International Finance (3209AFE)

International Finance focuses on financial management from the perspective of multinational firms that have revenues and payments denominated in foreign currencies. It offers a systematic approach to the study of some key techniques in international financial management and the strategies used by managers engaged in the international financial arena. The course focuses on exchange rate behaviour and exchange rate risk management using derivatives such as options and futures contracts, financing decisions and interest rate risk management, and the assessment of country risk and foreign investment decisions. Prerequisites: 1102AFE Accounting for Decision Making or 1101AFE Accounting Principles Co-requisites: NIL Incompatible: 3003IBA International Financial Management /International Corporate Finance
