Planning Sustainable Communities (3118THS)

This course considers how planning policies and processes that support sustainability are conceptualised, implemented and evaluated. Emphasis is placed on the concept of liveability, the subset of sustainability impacts that directly affect people such as health and well-being, social connectedness, access to the natural environment, and economic development. Particular reference is made to the translation of policy into practice in the delivery of infrastructure, programs and services that contribute to community life.
