Industry Placement (3103ENV)

This course is conducted primarily as individual student placements. The course introduces the concept of industry-based training and experience, while assisting in the transition from university to the workplace. Students will consolidate their scientific training and knowledge by undertaking a practical placement in a professional workplace whilst simultaneously managing their learning and course assessment. The course emphasises that competence in legal (OHS/WHS), ethical, scientific, academic, and social responsibilities are essential and key components of the scientific profession. Prerequisites: Student must have completed 140 credit points and have a GPA of 4.5 or higher. Student must be enrolled in one of the following programs. 1018 B Science; 1315 B Science in Ecology and Conservation Biology; 1357/1460/1512 B Urban and Environmental Planning/B Science; 1330 B Science (Advanced with Honours) Incompatible: 3103EAS Industry Placement; 3104EAS Industry Work Experience; 3104ENV Industry Work Experience
