Business and Politics in the Asia Pacific Region (3027GIR)

This course surveys the comparative political economy of East Asia, a highly dynamic region and one of critical importance to Australia's economic prosperity and security. It examines nine countries, including China, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia. Within these national settings, it focuses on government interventions in national economies and business involvement in politics, and activities that have helped to shape different rates of economic growth and political openness.
