Microbiology Laboratory (3018NSC)

This course provides skills for cultivating, isolating, identifying and enumerating microorganisms, and enables students to apply these skills to more complex microbiological laboratory tasks. The course gives an appreciation of the wide diversity, large numbers and important functions of microorganisms in everyday life. It combines the basic skills required to conduct fundamental and applied research in microbiology with standard methods and testing procedures commonly used in commercial microbiology laboratories. Advised prerequisites: and 2013NSC_Y1 and 2013NSC_Y2 Biotechniques Laboratory.
