Disruption, Technology and Workplaces (3016EHR)

This course will examine the concept of disruption, how it arises from innovation in consumer products, technology in production, modes of work or social organisation, and how various players (new firms, established firms, consumers, labour and regulators) can and do respond to it. It covers topics such as the cycles of firms and disruption, anticipating, managing and responding to disruption, disruptive technologies and the workplace, financial and broader sustainability of disruption. This course will be offered for the first time in Trimester 3 2019. Prerequisites: NIL. Co-requisites: NIL. Incompatible: NIL.
