Children and Youth (3013HSV)

This course develops an understanding of the unique needs of children and youth and the roles, responsibilities and needs of those who work with them in a range of settings. Various structural and personal issues impacting on the lives of children and youth will be examined, as well as an analysis of current definitions, roles and functions of services for children and youth will be undertaken. Principles and practices underpinning program outcomes are discussed. Consideration will be given to future organisational models for the provision of services for children and youth.
