Australia's Foreign Relations (3012GIR)

This course offers an overview of Australia's foreign relations. It covers economic, social, political and diplomatic relations, with a particular focus on the Asia-Pacific region. The course covers: the history of Australia's foreign relations; the foreign policies of the Coalition and Labor governments; defence policy and new security issues; foreign aid and the environment; Australia's foreign economic relations; relations with Asia and the United States; and the concept of national interest. Prerequisites: NIL Co-requisites: NIL Incompatibles: 3002IBA Australia's Foreign Relations with Asia.
