Employment Strategies in Action (3006EHR)

This is the capstone course for the employment relations major. This course provides students with an opportunity to build on the theory and practice of industrial relations that has been studied thus far. Students will: * Perform a group assignment that involves an in-depth study of an industry of their choice. * Provide a progressive research project. * Review literature and theory relevant to their selected industry. * Perform primary research with industry practitioners. * Use their research to suggest real world solutions to challenges faced by their selected industry. This course provides continuing students with an excellent springboard into Honours study and graduating students with excellent industry understanding and networks. Prerequisites: 2001EHR Management Employee Relations/ 2081EHR Management Employee Relations/ 2004EHR Employment Relations Law/ 3015EHR Employment Relations Law. Co-requisites: NIL. Incompatible: 3038IRL Employment Strategies in Action.
