Electronic Human Resource Management (3002EHR)

Technology is having a profound effect on the world of work and management of human resources and is arguably a key enabler for faster, cheaper and better delivery of HR services. This course critically examines the application of digital and cloud based information technology/information system (IT/IS) to HRM, including new technology trends, such as agile methodology, big data, social media, metrics and analytics, cloud computing and gamification from both systems and applied perspectives. Prerequisites: 2002EHR Human Resource Management Principles/ 2002EHR Human Resource Principles/ 2082EHR Human Resource Management Principles. Co-requisites: NIL. Incompatible: 3002EHR Human Resource Information Systems/ 3082EHR Human Resource Information Systems.
