Sculpture Studio 1 (2391QCA)

Sculpture 1 introduces students to the values of technique within the broad field of Contemporary Sculpture. Through learning activities and self-directed studio projects, students gain insight in 'traditional' processes and their contributions to contemporary spatial and sculptural discourse. Students will develop skills in a range of media including: wood, metal, clay and textiles prior to developing a major sculptural outcome. The course requires students to engage with themes relevant to their personal, social and/or cultural interests and develop outcomes that employ technically appropriate processes.
