Anatomy for Artists (2372QCA)

This is a studio-based course designed to help students improve their understanding of the human body and develop an appreciation for its geometry, dynamic structure, movement and proportions. Students will be introduced to the tradition of anatomical drawing through observation, écorché drawing and informative lectures that discuss skeletal and muscular systems, human body proportions, human movement and expression. This course is excellent for students within Visual Arts and Design, Education, Medicine, Science/s, Architecture and related fields. Students new to figure drawing or refreshing their drawing skills and understanding of the human body are welcome.
